
It can be difficult to avoid piling on the Christmas calories and ending up with a midriff akin to Santa’s.
But in Castlemaine one group of women have a vibrant answer to keeping fit during the festive feasting season and beyond – belly dancing.
Anita Zacchigna’s regular belly dancing students signed on to learn the ancient dance form about four months ago and since then have been perfecting the traditional movements at their weekly Wednesday classes held at Castlemaine Community House.
