This week’s Gig of the Week at the Shedshaker Taproom is another awesome local rock band – Chris Hudson & The Late Entrants.
Chris Hudson & The Late Entrants are launching their debut single Lost in Silence with a free entry show at Shedshaker Taproom on Friday August 21.
Punters can expect an evening in two acts featuring an all-local lineup. The night opens with an intimate acoustic set with special guest DTC on trumpet, before The Late Entrants take the stage in full for a longer second set.
The band will also be sneak previewing songs from their forthcoming EP Live Later Vol.1, due for release later in 2026.
“Drawing on a life lived across the UK, Cold War Russia and Australia, I write with the clarity of someone who has earned his perspective the hard way,” said Chris.
“After years working as a corporate strategist, I’ve spent the last five years distilling that experience into high-fidelity, literate indie. Atmospheric, unflinching and deeply biographical. Music for sophisticated ears and searching minds.”
Chris said the Live Later project sits at the heart of everything he writes.
“It’s built on the belief that life’s most resonant work begins when the noise of youth finally fades. The songs explore deferred ambition, the creative instinct set aside, and the courage it takes to pursue the life not yet lived.
“It’s music for anyone who has ever felt the pull of an unlived life and decided, finally, to act.” The show gets underway at 8pm.
