It’s that time of year again when the divide between parents becomes apparent – those who craft and those who do not…. Book Week.
While some parents spend the week prior covered in glue, sparkles and various crafting items, others are frantically searching for an old sports uniform or a well-worn, food stained Kmart costume to throw on their kids the morning of the school parade.
The teachers often seem more excited than the kids – celebrating the joy of reading plus a chance to dress up!
Run by the Children’s Book Council of Australia since 1945, Book Week has been a much-loved Australian tradition for more than 80 years.
