The Castlemaine Group of Bendigo Legacy is all set for Legacy Week 2026 which runs from this Sunday August 30 to Saturday September 5.
Badges, pens, bears, gift card sets, mugs, carry bags etc will be on sale at stands across four Castlemaine locations – Maxi IGA, Woolworths, and Barker Street IGA on Thursday September 3 and Friday September 4, from 9am until 5pm, and Saturday September 5 from 9am until 12.
Maldon sales will be outside Maldon Butchers, Friday from 9am until 4pm, and Saturday, 9am until noon.
Legacy members will be on hand to answer any questions about the role of Legacy in our community.
For over a century Legacy has kept the promise to thousands of veterans’ families- helping provide financial and social support during times of hardship and grief.
The Castlemaine Group of Legacy volunteers was formed in 1958 and currently supports 36 veterans’ widows and families in Mount Alexander Shire, providing services such as home visits, financial support for home and appliance needs, energy financial support, Birthday recognition, and annual Christmas function and gifts.
Donations can also be left with Barb at Castlemaine RSL clubrooms, 10am – 12 noon, Monday to Friday.
