The 35th annual Rotary Castlemaine Art Show was officially opened last night, June 6 with a gala event and the announcement of this year’s award winners at the Castlemaine Town Hall.
Art Show committee convener Robert Cordy said support from the arts community has again brought together a very strong show.
Judge and featured artist for 2024 is Castlemaine artist Mark Dober.
Visitors to the show can vote in the popular People’s Choice award which will be announced Monday afternoon.
The familiar Art Show raffle is again a feature of the show featuring a limited edition work, Wilsons Promontory by local artist Jeff Makin as first prize.
The show is open daily from 10am at the Castlemaine Town Hall across the King’s Birthday weekend, from today Friday June 7 to Monday June 10. Entry is $5. Under 16 Free.
All proceeds support Rotary Castlemaine’s community support and charity work.
