Adopt for the right reasons only: MAAW

If you’re cooped up at home and bored in the current circumstances – think twice before considering adopting a new pet to help ease the temporary boredom.
That’s the message from Castlemaine’s Mount Alexander Animal Welfare shelter that is warning against adopting an animal for the wrong – temporary – reasons.
“People are wanting to foster and possibly adopt – and this is from all the other rescue groups I’ve been speaking to – people are saying ‘oh we’re at home we want a dog’ or ‘we want a cat’.
