Our 2021 Castlemaine Mail ‘Golden Ticket’ promotion continues this week! You will discover the ninth and final piece of the jigsaw puzzle in today’s edition.
This year’s promotion has been proudly supported by The Tea Dispensary Castlemaine.
The Tea Dispensary is one of the town’s newest businesses and was founded by local Lisa Candy during last year’s covid lockdowns.
“I am a musician and suddenly found myself home evenings during lockdown. As a healthy alternative to a nightly wine my family and I began sitting down to enjoy a pot of ‘sleepy tea’ together.
“Unfortunately my youngest and I had a bit of a reaction. We worked out it was the chamomile but finding an alternative was impossible!” Lisa said.
This led to months of research and inspired the mum of three to start her own business.
Lisa is now an expert in all things tea and has collected teas and fresh ingredients from all over Australia and beyond.
“The whole concept is to allow our customers to see and smell the teas and be able to source teas, fresh herbs and spices to create their ideal blend.
“Each tea is displayed with a detailed information sheet on where it was sourced and what its characteristics are. We have also created a number of naturopath approved specialty blends to assist with everything from sleep to digestive issues, promoting a healthy heart and reducing inflammation.
The store also includes handmade teapots and cups which make a beautiful gift and Roogenic indigenous teas featuring native herbs.
Lisa said that the response to the business has been absolutely amazing, they have built a loyal following and that has supported them through the numerous lockdowns.
“It has been really tough but we are so grateful for that incredible support. We are currently keeping busy through our online store on offering free home delivery for orders over $20 in the 3450-3453 postcodes, as well as continuing our popular mail orders to our customers further afield,” Lisa said.
