Pick My Project

I wonder if you have heard of Pick My Project by now? Well, being creative Castlemaine (and surrounds) there are plenty of projects to chose from! With as many as 15 projects just in Castlemaine – and many more in the surrounding areas, it’s both inspiring – and a little daunting.
My aim in writing this letter is to encourage people to vote for three of the wonderful projects on offer, and of course I have some favourites that I would like to draw your attention to, it’s been hard to choose!
The project Treasure From Trash has the most awesome video promo – made by a Year 7 CSC student no less! It will get my vote for sure.
Of course I must mention Soft and Savvy, since its my project idea!
Very close to my heart is Castlemaine Community Sound as this is by a dear young person in my life. We are always saying we want to support ‘youth’ so here is your chance!
Earth Core is being proposed by the inspiring Mirawara mob and I can’t help but want to support it.
And lastly (but not leastly) I wish to point to Saltgrass by the talented Ali Hanly, her first series was incredible and surely we need to hear more!
The thing is, every last project is worth voting for. I’ve given you short list, and hope if nothing else, you will jump on and vote.
Inevitably, almost all of these projects will not receive funding, lets hope the process that has led us this far can create the energy required to make some of these projects happen anyway.
Good luck to us all.

Lucy Young, The Hub Foundation, Castlemaine.
