Castlemaine Cycling Club once again hosted round two of the AusCycling State Cyclo-Cross (CX) Series on Sunday June 21, attracting riders from across Victoria.
Cyclo-Cross (CX) is a fast, muddy, and action-packed style of racing that combines road racing, mountain biking, and obstacle navigation — all on a short, technical course.
The Castlemaine Cycling Club thanked all its incredible volunteers, officials, friends, family and riders that turned out over the weekend and helped make the event a fantastic success.
Castlemaine Cycling Club’s Ken Maddern said that from setup to the canteen and coffee workers, race officials to rider support everyone played an essential role.
“To the riders and all the way to those that helped with the pack up. We are grateful to you all. Another fantastic CX day was had by all.
“A special thank you to our main sponsor Belle Property for making events like this possible,” he said.
Onwards and upwards for all riders competing in the remainder of this year’s series. The club looks forward to welcoming everyone back in 2027!
