Creek welcomes Maldon bowlers

Campbells Creek Bowling Club welcomed the Maldon bowlers on Wednesday May 8 for a social game of bowls.

Dons valiant against the Steaders

Round five saw Maldon travel just down the road to Newstead to play. It was a day of mixed results with a few very close games. Saturday night was the Annual Ball and it was a great night had by all that attended. Thanks to the Maldon Golf Club for hosting the MFNC again for another year.

On the mount

The Tuesday nine hole competition at Mount Alexander Golf Club saw Myrl Hauser win the ladies stroke round with 31-1/2 nett, runner-up was Jo Kepsner 33-1/2 nett. Fleur Smith won the putting with 12. Bill Clark won the countback with Bob Pratt and Charles Cilia to claim victory with 18 points.

Sun shines on Falcons

The Mt Alexander Falcons placed host to the Lancefield Women's football team last Saturday May 4 at home at Harcourt.

Castlemaine Bowling Club held its Annual General Meeting on Monday April 29.

Creekers celebrate new court and cup

Campbells Creek FNC hosted their first home game of the season, against Maldon, and were thrilled to be able to showcase their brand new netball court, after many years of planning and hoping. The day also marked the annual 'Peter Cole Cup' which made its way back to Maldon after a big day of football and netball action.

Big wins for Maldon

Round 4 was a great day out for the Maldon Football Netball Club with the Dons winning all games of football and almost all games of netball, except for Under 13s, securing the Cole Cup for another year.

Footy fever at Auskick

The Mt Alexander Falcons Auskick program kicked off in April for all genders aged five to nine, focused on safe, inclusive and fun learning of game-based footy skills.
