The Castlemaine Mail Junior Sports Star of the Week is talented local basketballer and keen Aussie Rules footballer Jai Blundell.

How long have you been training? Seven years

Can you tell us about some of your sporting highlights? I play for Kyneton Tigers Under 12s. I got picked for the Representative Team and I have been playing in competitions. We won all our games in the Geelong Tournament. We played a couple of grading games. I play for Kyneton and Kyneton Rep Team

Who is an athlete you admire? Kevin Durant (Basketballer NBA)

What are your sporting goals? To make it to the NBA or AFL.

Do you play any other sports? I also play football with the Castlemaine Magpies. I have been playing in the Bendigo Junior Football League with Castlemaine for two years.

Any highlights from footy? I’m the best in mid attack. I’m responsible for lots of goal assists.
