Hot on the heels of a recent talk in Harcourt on falls, Dhelkaya Health’s falls expert is back.
Exercise physiologist Rebecca Dine has added two more dates to the calendar to help spread the word about falls, how to prevent them and how to assist someone who has fallen.
The two new sessions will be held at the Newstead Rural Transaction Centre tomorrow, Thursday October 31 from 11am for a 11.30am start, and at Dhelkaya Health (Castlemaine Hospital auditorium) on Thursday November 14 at 10.30am for an 11am start.
These vital sessions will help attendees learn more about why falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalisations and deaths in Australia, accounting for a staggering 43% of injury hospitalisations and 42% of injury deaths.
As we age, the risk of falling, particularly at home, increases significantly so you’ll hear tips to help enhance your own safety and those of your friends and family.
No bookings are required—just come along and bring your friends and family. Let’s work together to create a safer community!
