Lifting the veil on vandalism

Mick Slocum is lovingly restoring historical pillar boxes around Victoria. There were 120 pillar boxes erected in 1883 - all made from cast iron and running three feet into the ground. The Castlemaine pillar box on Mostyn Street is his 21st restoration.

 Musician, creative artist and pharmacist by trade, Mick Slocum OAM, spent last Thursday restoring the pillar box in the centre of Castlemaine to its former glory.
